Before you read on, should probably let all you 'catch up' watchers know that there is a major spoiler in this post! So if you don't want to know who A is, turn away now!
So after 5 seasons of following Pretty Little Liars, we've all been wondering, 'who the hell is A?', and in last nights episode, it all became clear...sort of! The latest episode revealed a lot, but not enough. It let us know that Mona is alive, Andrew is quite tech savvy, Spencer's parents know about A and most of all, we finally have a name for A!
So we've followed Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily's hectic high school life while being tormented by cyber bully '-A' after a lot of different story lines. But the main question that went through everyones mind during the scene below is 'who is behind that god damn mask?!?!'.
We finally found out that A has a name, and that name is Charles! There are a lot of theories jumping around about who Charles is with the number one being that he is Jason's twin. This is all because of the video that was showed in the latest episode with 2 young boys, a baby girl and Mrs. DiLaurentis at an apple farm. I just feel like this was too simple, even if they do want to tell us who A is!
I have been talking to fellow blogger, Jennifer, about all the theories about who is actually behind that mask and, I must say, some of the theories we came up with are just ridiculous! Assuming the people who are reading this post actually watch Pretty Little Liars, I'm just going to give you my guesses at who A is.
My first guess is Cece Drake! Through out the entire show, she's been quite sneaky and was quite close to Ali, who we all know is a proper bitch! I think Cece is related to the DiLaurentis family and she is the original 'Bethany' from Radley! If it was Cece, it would mean a lot of plot holes because obviously she had a thing with Jason, which mean it would be her brother, but she is a definite possibility!
Secondly, I'm guessing Andrew Campbell. He only recently started becoming more a regular cast member over the last few seasons, but Marlene King did say -A could be found out from season 3, which is when Andrew started getting more popular within the show! I think Andrew could be Ali and Jason's brother, and he is the other boy in the video. BUT, if we're being realistic here, Andrew is obviously not the one behind the mask seeing as he is about 6'5 and Spencer is about 5'10. We can see from the image above that they are both the same height, meaning Andrew is probably less likely to be A here.
Finally, the obvious guess, A is Charles DiLaurentis. If Charles really is Jason's twin, I think he is more vicious than we think. I think if Charles is A, he has been pretending to be Jason the entire time, and unfortunately for you Jason lovers, I think he was the one in the barrel! The Charles theory that is jumping about is that he wanted to be a girl and was jealous of Ali's life, so his parents sent him to Radley but under the name Bethany (his alter ego). He then escaped AFTER Mona was put in Radley and took the game off of her! This does make some sense as everything starts to sort of fall into place like the 2 yellow dresses.
I did have a theory that included Andrew and Cece working together which is still possible, but I think its best to think of only one person just now!
It's basically a waiting game now to find out more about A, which will make its way to our screens this summer, when it returns in June for its penultimate season.
